An in-form Fremantle are out to win their seventh game in a row and continue their finals charge, up against a Sydney side now needing a miracle to feature in September this season.
The Swans (6-8, 92.1 per cent) are hanging by an absolute thread with their finals hopes, and are now realistically the only team outside of the top nine who can still make finals — but they’ll need to win every game remaining this season.
Meanwhile, the travelling Dockers (10-5, 110.4 per cent) have fallen out of the top eight this round, but can shoot themselves back up as high as fifth with a win today. If they do win, it’ll be the first time in a decade they’ve won seven straight matches.

Justin Longmuir’s side have lost five of their last seven games against Sydney, however, they interestingly haven’t lost to Sydney at the SCG since Round 9, 2018.
Amid major concerns over the SCG’s turf, head curator Adam Lewis has gone into bat for his ground that has been under immense scrutiny.
“We’re very confident it’ll hold up. We’ve had independent testing done along with our own testing and we’re lucky the AFL have sent up their testing as well and we’ve passed with flying colours so we’re really looking forward to Sunday,” Lewis said in the lead-up.
“It’s been a very tough week for me and my staff. It’s been over the top. I really think it’s been blown out of proportion. Not just for me, I can handle it but for my team.
“We’ve got a young team that has set a really high standard and they take pride in where they work at the SCG and they’re putting in 110 per cent.
“The information that’s been piled on in social media is unjust and it’s not good. My guys are human and they don’t need to be bashed.”
The match gets underway at 1:10pm AEST at the SCG, with the substitutes from each team to be confirmed an hour beforehand.
Watch it live on Fox Footy (channel 504), and streaming via Kayo, from 12:30pm AEST.
