Kakinada:The Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm across the districts of Kakinada, Konaseema, Eluru, East and West Godavari on Saturday.
Temples dedicated to Lord Krishna were adorned with elaborate lighting and floral decorations, drawing a large number of devotees who offered prayers and performed special rituals. The festivities included devotional singing and theatrical reenactments of scenes from Lord Krishna’s life.
Many children were dressed as Lord Krishna, and organisers presented them with awards. The traditional ‘Utti Sambaralu’ (pot-breaking) ceremony was also a highlight of the celebrations at various temples.
Thousands of devotees gathered at the Gokulam temple in Kakinada to celebrate the Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival. Celebrations were also held at the Rukmini Panduranga Swamy temple and in the Meher Nagar area of Kakinada. Festive events were similarly observed in other towns, including Amalapuram, Eluru, Rajamahendravaram, Tanuku, Bhimavaram, Tuni, and Pithapuram.
