Kali Linux 2025.1a is officially here, bringing with it significant updates to desktop environments, Raspberry Pi support, NetHunter features, and a new security tool. Originally planned as Kali 2025.1, a last-minute bug required a quick rebuild, leading to the 2025.1a release.
What’s New in Kali Linux 2025.1a?
1. 2025 Theme Refresh
Each year’s first Kali release introduces a visual overhaul, and 2025.1a is no exception. This update includes:
- Revamped boot menu, login screen, and desktop experience
- New default wallpapers for both Kali and Kali Purple editions
