Inrix has said there are “severe delays”
A cow walking on a busy road has brought traffic to a standstill in this major UK city on Saturday afternoon.
The M4 in Cardiff has been brought to a standstill on Saturday (August 2), with slow moving traffic in the surrounding areas, as traffic officers are working to bring the animal to safety.
Tailbacks have been reported westbound between Junction 32 and Junction 33 and Traffic Wales cameras show all traffic is at a standstill.
Inrix traffic monitoring system originally said: “M4 Westbound exit slip road has closed, with slow traffic due to animals on road at J33 A4232 (Cardiff West And Services).”
An updated message from Inrix says: “Severe delays as M4 Westbound exit slip road closed, slow traffic due to animals on road at J33 A4232 (Cardiff West And Services).”
One driver posted the following message on X: “Avoid the M4 in Cardiff theres a f***ing cow walking down the slow lane.”
