The latest Treasury list shows 35 unclaimed estates that belonged to people who died in Oxfordshire, as of February 3, 2025.
Unclaimed estates are classed as ownerless property when there is no will or the will’s beneficiaries or the next family member cannot be found.
If no relative is traced within 12 years, the dormant estate becomes the property of the Crown, though it is still possible to make a claim on the government website if you are legitimately entitled.
