Elbows up? May as well have been chicken wings flapping. I’m making a giant size statue of Mark Carney and throwing it into the Elbow River!

Re: “Poilievre fighting ghosts as party loyalists grumble about campaign defeat” (Brian Lilley, July 9): Consider the resume of Pierre Poilievre. A lifetime politician trained to peck away at others with slogans and jabs. Consider a Conservative Party leader with actual leadership, international and real-world work experience. Surely there is a candidate who would be an outstanding prime minister. Democracy in Canada would be stronger; the Conservatives would actually win. Time to thank Poilievre for his service and move forward.

Bad enforcement
We often hear law enforcement advertising the number of tickets issued to traffic violators, but what we don’t hear about is the number of offenders who slip through the cracks. Have we truly considered how many drivers are blatantly disregarding traffic laws, making it increasingly difficult for those who follow the rules to drive peacefully? The reality is alarming: countless drivers are using cellphones while behind the wheel, and rolling stops at intersections are becoming the norm. Speeding is a common occurrence, and illegal U-turns and other dangerous manoeuvres are all too frequent. The issue of tinted windows, which pose a significant hazard, is also on the rise. Moreover, transit delays are another pressing concern. I recently spoke with a Quebec resident who had considered moving here but decided against it after experiencing our unreliable public transportation system. We both waited for a transit bus that arrived 35 minutes late without any explanation or apology from the driver. This incident highlights a broader issue that needs urgent attention. It’s time we shift our focus to ensuring safer, more reliable roads and transit systems for everyone.

That’s you, President Trump in attempting to prove to the entire world that you run everything and everyone. You have no respect for the millions of Americans that voted against you for starters, your own citizens, of which you once said every American matters, haha. In regards to the rest of the world, it’s your hundreds of millions of Americans that are attempting to control the billions worldwide. Prime Minister Carney is on your side. His personal fortune is invested in the U.S.
